A 50% non refundable deposit is required when you place your order, and the balance is required just prior to your order being dispatched to you.
I make each invitation by hand from scratch, starting with cutting and folding each card so a lot of work is involved. A batch of invitations can take quite some time to produce, and that's after the discussion regarding the design, making up proofs and ordering all the materials. I often have several orders waiting to be completed meaning I am unable to start new orders straight away, and of course I do take holidays.
You should allow at least 4 to 6 weeks from approval of your proofs and payment of your initial deposit for your invitations to be completed, I may be able to complete them a little sooner than this but it obviously depends on how many other orders I have at the time. I would suggest that you contact me as early as possible to discuss your requirements, especially if you would like me to design something specifically for you. Although I always do my very best to accommodate everyone sometimes I do have to turn orders down because I simply don't have sufficient time to complete the work in the timescale the customer requires.
Payment can be made securely via bank transfer or PayPal (you can use your debit or credit card and don't need a Paypal account). I will send you an e-mail with full details when payment is required.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice, however any quotation will be honoured should prices increase before your order is finished.
A physical proof will be sent to you for approval of your wedding invitation design and wording before work commences. If there is subsequent adjustment to the wording or layout a revised proof will be sent via email.
In the unlikely event that an error has occurred, please notify me as soon as possible, and within 7 days of receipt of your order, so that it can be corrected immediately. Any errors made by me will of course be rectified free of charge, however I will have to make a charge for any errors made on your behalf. Therefore, please make sure you check your requirements and the proofs very carefully.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use any material (e.g. poems or hymns) which you ask me to include in your wedding stationery and in particular you indemnify Caroline Shutler and Silver Dove against any action brought against them for breach of a third party's copyright.
Please bear in mind that each invitation / item is handmade, therefore each one may differ very slightly. This should not be regarded as a fault but as the individuality of your bespoke design.
Postage and packaging will be calculated once your order is completed and ready to send, as this is obviously dependent on weight. I will advise you of the amount so that you can include it in your final payment. Your stationery will usually be sent either via a courier or Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day so a signature will be required on receipt. (This also provides insurance cover for your stationery). Please be assured that I only ever charge you what the P&P costs me.
Where possible I try to recycle packaging and boxes to help the environment.
